The Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps was founded on June 25, 1969 as a living active memorial to Senator Robert F. Kennedy. RFK Children’s Action Corps is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout Massachusetts, and to making a lasting contribution to society as a whole. The RFK Children’s Action Corps is a leader in child welfare and juvenile justice programming in Massachusetts.
We strive to ensure that the families of the children we serve are active participants in their child’s progress whenever possible. Our goal is to create a circle of support around every child that includes clinicians, teachers, supervisors, and family members. At our residential programs we offer programs that help families stay in close contact with each other. Some special programs include transportation assistance, family-based events and celebrations, sibling supervision, and family visits.
Since its inception in 1991, the Ride For Kids has raised over $37 million to help at-risk children in Massachusetts.
